Fearless Tennis Team Training

The Fearless Tennis Training Program is now available for registration. The monthly fee of $99 includes all of the training blocks below, the new Fearless Tennis Course and a monthly webinar. The program will begin on August 1st.

Performance Block 1: Goal Setting

In this performance block players will assess their preparation routines and create or adjust as necessary to build confidence before tournaments and deepen their focus.

Performance Block 2: Pre-Tournament/Pre-Match Routines

In this performance block players will assess their preparation routines and create or adjust as necessary to build confidence before tournaments and deepen their focus.

Performance Block 3: Visualization/Imagery

All players will learn a variety of visualization exercises that includes technique, tactic and mental fortitude. Players will be practicing visualization during the week to refine this skill to build into their pre-match routines. They will also create their own personalized audio to use for both practice matches and tournaments.

Performance Block 4: Developing Autonomy

All players will have a chance to assess their level of initiation and self-determination to take more control over their tennis (equipment, lesson plans, tracking stats, emotional triggers, adjustments in match play, focusing skills).

Performance Block 5: Embracing Pressure

Players will identify their most difficult match situations (i.e.. closing out a lead, playing pushers, tie-breakers, breakpoints) and learn how to embrace pressure and increase their focus when a match is close.

Performance Block 6: Getting Loose

All players will continue to work on training themselves to be loose in match play and practice matches. This includes the loose dial and progressive muscle relaxation to literally drop tension and commit to their shots. This will be a fundamental skill that we believe will make the largest difference between winning and losing.

Performance Block 7: Mindfulness Training

All players will meditate or practice strategies to become more present and aware. This will include tracking their thoughts throughout the day to learn how to let go of negative thoughts, replace them with productive thoughts and refocus on the task at hand.

 

All correspondence will take place in the Fearless Tennis Training Space. Players will be posting regularly about their successes and challenges. This group format has proved to be very effective to create social support and reduce a feeling of isolation. Each player will have a chance to lead a discussion, which contributes to both self-esteem and confidence. In addition, Brian and Jeff will be posting various materials to further the players’ learning and help them get the results they are capable of. On-court drills will also be incorporated into this training course to complement the above training blocks.
